Considering former WWE Superstar and 3-time Divas Champion AJ Lee was a big part of the push to give female wrestlers more time to shine in their matches and on the mic, you'd think it'd be a no brainer for the company to try to get her on board for the upcoming Evolution PPV event.
Unfortunately, things are complicated by the fact that AJ is married to CM Punk, who is... well, not The WWE's favourite person at the moment, and the feeling is more than mutual.
Still, it sounds like there might have been some truth to the recent rumor that WWE had reached out to Lee, although according to Dave Meltzer, it would be a "very difficult deal" to finalise - for obvious reasons.
Hopefully this happens, because AJ was and remains a very influential figure in for many young wrestling fans.
