Andrade "Cien" Almas Impresses In A Losing Effort Against AJ Styles On SMACKDOWN LIVE

Although he didn't pull out the W, former NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas had a great showing in his non-title match against WWE Champion AJ Styles on tonight's episode of SmackDown LIVE. More past the jump.

We found out earlier that AJ Styles would take on Andrade "Cien" Almas to open the SmackDown LIVE tonight, and even though the former NXT champ came up short, he turned a lot of heads and proved that he belongs on top of the card on the main roster.

Almas actually dominated the majority of the match, countering pretty much everything The Phenomenal One threw at him. However, in the end Styles used a counter of his own to lock on the Calf Killer for the submission victory.

There are rumors that Andrade could be in line for a US Title opportunity soon, but we think it'd be a better move to shake things up a bit and stick him straight into the WWE Championship picture. How about you guys?
