Andrade defeated Rey Mysterio at last night's Madison Square Garden live event to become the new United States Champion.

The former NXT Champion managed to counter a top-rope attack from the legendary luchador and hit his signature DDT (does he have a name for that move?) to score a pinfall victory and claim his first title since moving to Raw from the black and gold brand.

Fans were hoping to see Mysterio get a longer run with the championship, but it's high time the talented "El Idolo" was given a singles title push.

If WWE is smart, Andrade will hold on to the gold for a while as there's nothing worse than multiple switches to decrease the value of a title and the wrestler wearing it.
