More bombshells have been revealed from Andrade's recent interview with Lucha Libre Online, including what led to the former NXT Champion requesting his WWE release.
Talking about returning to the company in February, Andrade praised Superstars like Randy Orton, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Drew McIntyre (all of whom were said to be confused by why he wasn't being used on television), and pointed out that producers often said the same thing. However, it was a conversation with Orton that seemingly led to him deciding that he had to leave the company.
Andrade also elaborated on some of the apparent issues his fiancee Charlotte Flair is facing as a WWE employee, revealing that they pressured her to return to in-ring action before she was ready.
"She spent six months out of action and every week, they would tell her that she needs to return to RAW," he revealed. "She wasn’t ready from the operation she had. They would call her every week and she would say, ‘No, I’m not ready.'" He added that she had problems with her teeth and another unspecified operation, and it's fair to say his comments don't paint WWE in the best light.
Other highlights included him praising Triple H and Paul Heyman, the reveal that he's already taking bookings, and that he and Charlotte were supposed to get married last October before the pandemic changed things.
We'll bring you more from this one as we have it.
