YouTuber and boxer Logan Paul's arrival in WWE wasn't exactly welcomed by professional wrestling fans, but he blew everyone away with his performance against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. While we don't necessarily expect him to start being cheered now, the influencer has proven he has what it takes and has earned our respect.
It was during his match with the Head of the Table that Paul ended up tearing his MCL and meniscus, a serious injury, but one that doesn't require surgery.
Wade Clemons and Faze Sensei recently shared their thoughts on Paul (via WrestlingNews.co), with the latter revealing he's heard the boxer will step back into a WWE ring roughly six weeks from now. That coincides with the Royal Rumble on January 28th and brings Paul back into the fold just as we begin heading down the Road to WrestleMania.
"Fair play, I would do the same thing that other guys don’t and like almost a pay-to-win type thing because Conor has the money to do it and some other guys may not. But that’s the game you play if you’re a superstar and you have that kind of money, the same reason that Logan Paul has talked about. He’s going to get stem cell therapy."
We got an update on that. His MCL was the only thing that was torn. He didn’t have a triple tear. He’s going to try to wrestle in six weeks apparently. He’s going to get stem cell stuff and that stuff is great. You have the money to do it, why the f*ck not?"
Wade is a trusted source in the boxing world, so we're inclined to believe these comments. We don't expect Paul to win the 30-man match, however, as Cody Rhodes is also expected to return at the Royal Rumble.
The belief right now is that he will win and go on to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania, though with so much chatter surrounding The Rock's return, we're heading into the Premium Live Event with a lot of exciting possibilities.
