Although we still don't for certain that Apollo Crews will be turning heel (WWE is said to be considering several options), the events of the past couple of weeks definitely point to the underutilized Superstar venting his frustrations and taking a more aggressive approach to further his career.
There's speculation that he may return during the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match to take out the man who replaced him (AJ Styles), but we're now hearing that Crews will ultimately wind up joining a new faction.
MVP already appears to have aligned himself with the tag-team of Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink, and in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Apollo will be added to the group to form a new stable.
Honestly, we think this is a terrible idea. Crews was already part of one failed faction (remember Titus Worldwide?), and this sounds like another disaster waiting to happen. If Apollo really is turning heel, WWE needs to give him the opportunity to excel as a badass, ruthless singles competitor, and weighing him down with a tag-team nobody gives a shit about yet and a man who's done nothing but get his ass handed to him since he's returned (sorry, MVP) is not going to do him any favors.
What do you guys think? Let us know in he usual place.
