MVP will finally get his shot at the United States Championship.
WWE has confirmed the return of Apollo Crews by announcing that the reigning title holder will defend the prestigious belt against the former United States Champion this Monday on RAW. Originally, Crews and MVP were set to battle at Extreme Rules last month; however, officials stated that Crews was unable to compete due to the attack from Bobby Lashley several weeks prior.
The reported reason that Crews has been absent from WWE television stems from the 32-year-old testing positive for the coronavirus, though neither WWE or Crews has confirmed the reports. Thus far, the United States Championship match is the only set bout on the show. WWE Universal Champion Drew McIntyre, former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka, and Randy Orton are advertised to appear on the flagship brand.
MVP is no stranger to holding the United States title as the 46-year-old has held the belt on two separate occasions during his first stint with the company. With Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin by his side, will MVP become the U.S. Champion for the third time in his career? We’ll find out on Monday Night RAW!
