Asuka Defeats Bayley In A Champion Vs. Champion Match To Close Out This Week's RAW

The main event of this week's episode of Raw saw Asuka go one-on-one with Bayley in a Champion vs. Champion match, and thanks to some shenanigans/distractions, The Empress of Tomorrow emerged victorious.

Raw Women's Champion Asuka pulled out a victory over SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley in the main event of Raw last night, but it was far from a decisive win.

The match itself was pretty good, but it was marred somewhat by the constant threat of outside interference. Nikki Cross, who will face Bayley for her title at Extreme Rules, sat in on commentary for a while before being escorted out by security, but that still left Sasha Banks and Kairi Sane ringside to cause trouble.

In the end, Nikki returned to bang on the Plexiglas, distracting Bayley and allowing Asuka to roll her up for the quick win. We get that both of these Superstars have been dominant champions, but The Empress should really be winning without so much outside help.

Anyway, The Horror Show at Extreme Rules (ugh) should be a decent enough event - and we also have The Kabuki Warriors vs. The Golden Role Models for the WWE Women's Tag-Team Championships next Monday on Raw.
