Asuka Defended The Women's Championship After Last Night's SMACKDOWN LIVE Went Off The Air

There was no sign of Asuka during last night's episode of SmackDown Live but the Empress of Tomorrow defended her title once the cameras stopped rolling and you can find out how things played out right here...

Unfortunately, SmackDown Women's Champion Asuka was once again absent during last night's show but fans in the building did get to see her compete once it had gone off the air. She took on Charlotte Flair in a dark match and picked up the win when the current #1 contender for the RAW Women's title tapped out to the Asuka Lock.

The bout obviously took place to send fans home happy and it says a lot that WWE is now frequently using women's wrestling matches in this slot to ensure that fans stick around through 205 Live

It's just a shame that Asuka isn't getting that much TV time, especially when she was the one responsible for making Becky Lynch tap out at the Royal Rumble. On the plus side, we know she'll be in action at Fastlane because the Empress of Tomorrow is booked to defend her title against Mandy Rose.
