Asuka Finally Defeats Charlotte Flair On RAW To Retain The Women's Championship

Charlotte Flair has had Asuka's number ever since she ended her undefeated streak at WrestleMania two years ago, but The Empress of Tomorrow was finally able to avenge that loss this week on Raw...

Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair on Raw last night, retaining the Women's Championship and avenging her controversial loss to The Queen at WrestleMania in New Orleans two years ago.

The victory was tainted somewhat by Nia Jax injuring Flair's arm in a scuffle earlier in the show, but The Empress still managed to do something very few (any?) other Superstars have been able to accomplish: made The Queen tap out in the middle of the ring.

The match was as solid as you'd expect, with several near falls and some hard-hitting spots. Flair almost succeeded in putting the champ away and winning the title on a couple of occasions, but Asuka maintained her focus on the injured arm and was ultimately able to force a submission with the Asuka Lock.

Afterwards, Jax jumped Charlotte again, slamming her arm in a heavy chest door. We'll no doubt see a feud between these two at some point, but we're hearing Flair may be legitimately injured (more on that later). <>
