Asuka Is The New RAW Women's Champion After Becky Lynch Relinquishes The Title Due To Pregnancy

Confirming the rumor from earlier tonight, Becky Lynch kicked off Raw by announcing that she is pregnant. Great news for The Man, and great news for Asuka, who is now the new Women's Champion. Check it out.

Well, the rumors were true: Becky Lynch is pregnant, and has decided to relinquish the Raw Women's Championship.

Last night's episode kicked off with The Man making her way to the ring with the MITB briefcase in her hand for her big announcement. She then asked Money in the Bank winner Asuka to join her, and informed her that the ladder match wasn't actually for a contract, but for the championship itself. Lynch told The Empress of Tomorrow to "go be a warrior" while she goes home to be a mother. The two then embraced in a genuinely emotional moment.

Becky was congratulated by other Superstars backstage, before walking off-screen and telling the fans at home that she's going to miss them.

We're gonna miss you too Bex.

Lynch has revealed that she is due in December. Seth Rollins is still a heel (despite shaking Drew McIntyre's hand after their match at MITB), so hasn't really acknowledged the news in-character.

It's a shame Becky won't be around to slap the heads off dopes for a while, but Asuka will make a terrific champion. Expect Shayna Baszler to come for that title before too long, though.
