Asuka Is The New RAW Women's Champion After Forcing Sasha Banks To Tap-Out At SUMMERSLAM

Asuka is once again the Raw Women's Champion after forcing Sasha Banks to tap-out at SummerSlam.

The Empress of Tomorrow faced Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Title earlier in the night, but lost that match due to The Boss taking a bullet for her friend and tag-team partner, allowing Bayley to secure the pinfall victory via roll-up.

This was obviously not the best start for Asuka, but the second match went very differently.

Banks and Asuka always have excellent chemistry, and this was no different. After a stiff back-and-forth encounter - and a scary sliding powerbomb bump to the outside - we got a similar set-up to the previous match, except Bayley avoided the contact, allowing The Empress to apply the Asuka Lock and gain the submission victory.

This will likely lead to the dissolution of the Golden Role Models, and an eventual feud between Bayley and Banks. The duo are set to defend the Women's Tag Team Championships next Sunday at PayBack, which should be very interesting.
