This year's Elimination Chamber PLE took place on Saturday night in Montreal, and, as per usual, the event featured two Chamber matches.
The women were up first, with Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya and Carmella battling it out for the chance to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Championship at WrrestleMania. In the end, it came down to Carmella and Asuka, with the Empress of Tomorrow picking up the victory with her Asuka Lock submission hold.
A very good match, but there was only ever going to be one winner here, so the outcome was very predictable.
With this big victory, Asuka becomes the first woman in WWE history to win the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and Elimination Chamber matches.
The men's U.S. Championship Chamber match was also full of exciting moments, but again, only two outcomes here: Seth Rollins wins, or Austin Theory retains.
They were the final Superstars standing (or course), and the despised Theory managed to hold on to his title with a little help from Logan Paul, who entered the chamber (did they just open the door for him? Silly) and hit Rollins with his version of the Buckshot Lariat and a Stomp.
Austin then picked up the pieces with A-Town Down and the 1,2,3.
This entire match was pretty much designed to set up Rollins vs. Paul at WrestleMania, and although it was a terrific bout overall, it just seemed a little... pointless? Even so, we did get a couple of (hopefully) star-making performances from Montez Ford and Bronson Reed.
