Asuka Vs. Nia Jax For The RAW Women's Championship Ends In A Double Count-Out At BACKLASH

Asuka vs. Nia Jax arguably turned out to be the most disappointing match of the night, with The Empress of Tomorrow retaining the Raw Women's Championship after both Superstars were counted out...

Asuka is still Raw Women's Champion after retaining the title when both her and Nia Jax were counted out during their match at Backlash.

This was pretty shoddy stuff, and the finish really killed it. Jax is far from the best "worker" in the company, but she is still capable of putting on a good match with the right opponent, and who better than The Empress of Tomorrow to carry her through?

It wasn't all bad (a couple of hard-hittying strikes from Asuka here and there), but after what seemed like a 3-minute scuffle, the match ended in a no contents when neither Superstar was able to make it back into the ring before the ref's 10 count.

WWE clearly anted Asuka to retain without picking up a clean win over The Irresistible Force, possible setting up another match down the line. That's all well and good, but there are other, far less frustrating ways to achieve the same result.
