Backstage News On Bobby Lashley's Status Following RAW And Why Lana Wasn't Ringside For His Match

On Monday night's episode of RAW, Lana was defeated by Liv Morgan in singles action and that seemed to be the end of the storyline between them as Ruby Riott returned to attack her old partner.

Bobby Lashley was nowhere to be seen during that and the Ravishing Russian was missing when he fought Ricochet and Seth Rollins for the chance to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Super ShowDown later this month. So, what's happening? Well, Dave Meltzer has provided some answers in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

As we mentioned earlier today, there will be no resolution to the storyline between Rusev, Bobby Lashley, and Lana until the Bulgarian Brute's contract situation is resolved and The Authors of Pain attacking him on RAW was not meant to set up a babyface turn.

As for Lana's absence at ringside, he adds: "Not sure if she won’t be in the future but in this specific situation, since AOP was going to attack him, it really made no sense for her to be there."
