Jeff Hardy signed a new WWE contract last year, and talked at the time about his plans to bring back his "No More Words" theme song for what sounded like a renewed push from the company.
Well, after a recent Main Event loss to Jinder Mahal, the Charismatic Enigma picked up another "L" on RAW this week. As a result, there's been a lot of speculation online that WWE may be burying Hardy because he wants out of the company. Well, WrestlingNews.co is reporting that he still has two years on his deal, and the plan is still to repackage Jeff to some extent.
It's noted that, "WWE is simply rotating talent so some people will be moved to the backburner for now. This is essentially what happened with wrestlers like Angel Garza, Nikki Cross, and Humberto Carrillo. After being on the sidelines for months, WWE is starting to push Garza and Carrillo and Cross is about to return to RAW soon to interact again with Alexa Bliss."
Interestingly, the report also states that as we head into the summer, WWE hopes to give Mahal a major push, with the idea being that he will eventually feud with former 3MB partner, Drew McIntyre.
That's something we know McIntyre has wanted for a while, and it has the makings of an entertaining storyline. As for Jeff, we definitely hope to see him used a little better moving forward, especially as he's wasted at this point in his career being little more than a glorified jobber.
