It appears that despite the huge babyface reactions that the new WWE Women’s champion Becky Lynch has been receiving since Summerslam, WWE still views “The Lass Kicker” as a heel. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the idea behind last night's match was to slowly turn Flair babyface. - which does sound silly given the fact that Flair never turned heel in the first place.
Despite Becky pinning Flair clean, the idea was to end the match with “The Queen” as a babyface after Becky "screwed" her to win the title. It's unclear what "screwed" would have meant in this context as Lynch went over clean in her match against Flair. Of course, match plans could've changed.
Apparently, Becky's big heel move was the post-match handshake blow-off. There was supposed to be a few significant heel moves by Becky during the match but both women worked most of the match as a babyface. WWE officials understood going into the match that Becky would be cheered.
