It appears that the endgame for the partnership between Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura will be somewhat reminiscent of the Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens storyline.
While this isn’t the confirmed direction for the duo, WrestleVotes – who’s broken several big stories including NXT going to the USA Network – has stated that one of the ideas for the pairing is akin to the Kevins Owens and Chris Jericho relationship that will lead to a huge blowoff match somewhere down the line.
There’s no word on who would turn babyface in this situation. WrestleVotes also makes it clear that the blow-off will likely happen before WrestleMania 36.
Zayn and Nakamura have yet to face one another on the main roster one-on-one; however, the ‘King of Strong Style’ did face the former NXT Champion in his first-ever match in the WWE. It’s considered Nakamura’s best WWE match to date and if you haven’t seen it yet, then definitely check it out.
