Following the news that UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz was recently training at the WWE Performance Center, PW Insider is now reporting that his visit there was meant to serve as an introductory meeting of sorts which took place over a number of days.

The site reports that Ortiz and WWE were essentially feeling each other out with the idea of potentially working together down the line.

Ortiz is a lifelong pro wrestling fan, and reportedly did some in-ring training while there to familiarise himself with the WWE system. Described as a "let's feel each other out" situation, it sounds like it went well, and it will no be interesting finding out what comes of this.

At 45 years of age, Ortiz probably wouldn't have a long wrestling career ahead of him, but he's keen to wrestle based on comments following his Combate Americas MMA fight against former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio (which Ortiz won).

We'll keep you guys updated.
