Backstage News On Why Monday's Episode Of RAW Was So Terrible After Improving The Week Before

Monday night's episode of RAW came under fire for being, well, terrible and it felt like the same old show rather than the previous week's effort which had Paul Heyman's fingerprints all over it. So, what exactly went wrong and was Brock Lesnar's advocate involved at all?

"The only thing that I’m relatively certain [with Paul] is the Mike and Maria stuff because that reminds me of ECW," Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. "As far as the other stuff, I don’t know. I’m sure some of those segments were his. It’s Vince’s show. It’s always going to be Vince’s show."

"It’s a slow battle," he added, making it clear that Vince is still the one making the decisions behind the scenes.

This doesn't exactly bode well for the future; when Heyman was appointed Executive Director of RAW, the hope was that the show would undergo some major changes but the odd segment here and there being changed isn't going to help poor reviews and ratings.
