Last week, Renee Young was promoted to being a permanent member of the Raw commentary team, replacing Jonathan Coachman, who will now lead the commentary team during the WWE PPV Kickoff shows, with his first appearance set to be this Sunday night at the Hell in Cell PPV.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Young moving to the Raw commentary team has been in the works for a while and the big part of it had to do with WWE looking to diversify the commentary team. There’s no report on whether Coach’s performances at the commentary booth played a factor in being chosen to be replaced by Young.
