BASH IN BERLIN Results: CM Punk Picks Up First Win Since Returning To WWE During Stellar PLE In Germany

The Bash in Berlin PLE took place in Germany last night and it was a must-see show which saw CM Punk pick up his first victory in WWE since returning to the company at last year's Survivor Series PLE.

Bash in Berlin took place in Germany yesterday evening and opened with Cody Rhodes putting the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against his friend Kevin Owens.

It was a competitive bout which saw KO target the American Nightmare's injured knee and consider a powerbomb on the apron before seeing the error of his ways. Rhodes ultimately picked up the win, but a dejected Owens was clearly left frustrated and a heel turn could be imminent.

In the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships match, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill managed to win back the titles they technically never lost from Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn).

Next up was the long-awaited Strap Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. It was a suitably brutal fight which saw the Second City Saint busted open by the Scottish Psychopath at one point. However, Punk outsmarted his foe, hit a series of GTS', and picked up the win in what was arguably the match of the night.

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan was next and, after fending off The Judgement Day's Carlito, JD McDonagh, and Finn Balor, the Terror Twins won the match when Ripley destroyed the Women's World Champion with a patented Riptide.

It was then main event time and Gunther put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Randy Orton.

The Legend Killer gave it his all but ended up being locked in a sleeper hold he simply could not escape from; after the match, the two men shook hands in a sign of respect and it's clear now that WWE has serious plans for the Austrian.
