Batista Is Reportedly Planning A Return To WWE Next Year Following GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Delay

Disney's decision to fire James Gunn has led to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being put on what appears to be indefinite hold. While it's said that Marvel Studios will be using the filmmaker's script, the project (which was originally taking aim at a 2020 release) is without a director and several cast members seemingly no longer wish to return and no one has been more vocal than Dave Bautista.

The actor has gone so far as to say that he'd like a role in Gunn's version of Suicide Squad 2 and with his schedule next year freed up with no Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it's being reported by multiple sources that Bautista is eyeing a return to the wrestling ring. The former WWE Superstar appeared at the 1000th episode of SmackDown Live on Tuesday and appeared to tease a match with Triple H.

Now, it's said that the plan is for the man known as Batista to wrestling fans to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year before competing at WrestleMania, possibly in a match against The Game. Nothing is confirmed right now but Bautista has made it clear he wants to return to wrestling before he's too old and the spring seems like the perfect opportunity with the Marvel movie on hold.
