Bayley And Sasha Banks Become The New WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions On SMACKDOWN

Bayley and Sasha Banks are the new WWE Women's Tag-Team Champions after defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross on last night's episode of SmackDown.

The match went back and forth for a while, with the heels managing to isolate Cross and deal out quite a bit of damage. Bliss eventually came in off the hot tag and evened the odds, but ultimately fell victim to the same divide and conquer strategy.

WWE has been teasing some dissension between Banks and Bayley of late, and that continued here, with the former locking her Banks Statement on Cross only for Bayley to tag herself in. It turned out to be misdirection, however, as The Boss was able to get back in the match and roll through Nikki's counter to pin her shoulders to the mat for the 3-count.

So, The Boss & Hug Connection are now 2-time Women's Tag-Team Champions, but we can't help but feel a parting of ways is still in the cards. Perhaps the split will eventually happen when The IIconics get their next shot at the gold?
