Bayley Defeats Carmella To Retain SMACKDOWN Women's Championship; SUPER SHOWDOWN Challenger To Be Decided

SmackDown kicked off with Carmella making a guest appearance on "A Moment of Bliss." After talking about the way Sasha Banks has changed Bayley, the SmackDown Women's Champion made her presence felt, and the title shot Carmella earned last week began.

It really did look like Carmella might win the title at one point, but Bayley managed to counter the Code of Silence and pinned her opponent using the ropes! After the match, she continued to attack the downed Carmella before Naomi made the save. The two babyfaces stood tall, but they won't be friends for much longer.

After Bayley revealed that she will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, it was confirmed that Naomi and Carmella will face each other next Friday with the winner going on to challenge for the title at the PPV.

That will be the first Women's title match in the country and should be a history making bout...
