WWE has been teasing a split for Sasha Banks and Bayley's partnership for months now, and while the original plan was for them to square off at SummerSlam, the company decided to delay the feud and kept the former Women's Tag Team Champions together a little longer than expected. However, WWE has now finally decided to pull the trigger on this split.

During last night's SmackDown, Bayley and Banks got a rematch against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for their titles after losing them at Payback, but things didn't work out for the two women.

Jax actually pinned both Banks and Bayley at the same time, and after the 1-2-3 had been counted, trainers checked on Banks who had reportedly injured her knee during the bout. Bayley watched on while all this was happening, and when Banks refused help, Bayley decided to lend a helping hand. It was then that Bayley turned on her former friend in brutal fashion.

Stomping her to the ground, Bayley threw Banks into the steel steps and continued to work on that "injured" leg. This went on for several minutes until the SmackDown Women's Champion took The Boss out by stomping on a chair that had been wrapped around her head. After the break, Banks was shown being taken away in an ambulance.

Now, we'll have to wait and see how this rivalry develops...
