Bayley and Sasha Banks sat down for a contract signing to make their upcoming Hell in a Cell match official during last night's season premiere of SmackDown, and while things did get heated, it didn't descend into the usual fisticuffs. Instead, the SmackDown Women's Champion outright refused to put her name on the dotted line.
Bayley told The Boss that she knew she would ultimately turn on her, and simply got in there first. Banks retorted that she always believed they really were friends, but after Bayley tried to end her career, she intends to end her inside Hell in a Cell.
Sasha finished by pointing out that her name is bigger than Bayley's championship. With that, the Role Model left the ring without signing the contract, adding an intriguing wrinkle to this angle.
This feud has been a long time coming and we are looking forward to the Hell in a Cell match, but this segment really wasn't great. Banks is awesome, but she's never been especially proficient on the mic, and she ended up repeating herself quite a lot here, and, well, talking mostly gibberish.
She did get her point across, though, and It certainly will be interesting to see how Sasha is ultimately able to convince/force her former tag team partner to sign that contract.
