Things are looking good for Becky Lynch right now. After spending the past year or so on the sidelines of SmackDown Live, she's set to face Carmella for the Women's Championship at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match which will also include Charlotte Flair. During a recent interview, the Irish Lass Kicker touched on a number of topics, including those rumours about women's tag team titles.

Fans have really started supporting the idea but Lynch was quick to point out one possible issue.

"I am constantly thinking about it and brainstorming and pitching for it. Even if I am not involved with it, I still think that it would be a wonderful step in the Women’s progression. When I say involved in it, I say that because I am going after the Women’s championship and that is where I want to be, but in the future that is where I want to be, especially in the future. We have all these women in the Mae Young Classic and have so many girls and having such a deep roster.

"We still have a shallow side – not shallow, but there are a few women on either side of Raw and SmackDown. We probably have like 8-10 on either side, so that is kind of tricky do a tag title and Women’s title, but if we can combine and go through all the different things and connect, not sure if that is possible, but who knows."

It's a valid point; while many of the women are underutilised, there aren't really enough of them on the main roster to maintain a competitive tag team and singles division. WWE would need to bring a lot of new talent up to the main roster and it's clearly something which requires a lot of thought, hence why Stephanie McMahon explained that they're working on it but taking their time to get it right.

What do you guys think? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
