Becky Lynch is perhaps the most popular Superstar in WWE today but things could have been very different had WWE management gone through with a pretty surprising decision five years ago.

As you may recall, the Irish Lass Kicker made her NXT debut on June 26th, 2014 when she defeated Summer Rae but Lynch has now revealed that WWE was considering releasing her just two weeks before that bout ended up taking place.

Lynch actually left the wrestling business in 2006 after a head injury but sign a developmental deal in 2013.

Her heel turn and subsequent team-up with Sasha Banks helped her make an impact in NXT and she quickly started doing her own thing as a singles star before becoming known as "The Man."
