During last night's episode of RAW, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus made their match at Night of Champions official with a good old-fashioned contract signing.
It started with "The Man" making her way to the ring to call out the WWE Hall of Famer. Stratus acknowledged this was actually her first contract signing, and took credit for the fact Lynch has had so many of them. After also saying she's responsible for changing the game, Trish promised to be "it" once she defeats Lynch at the upcoming PLE.
Mocking her opponent, Stratus later made it clear that, while this may have been her first contract signing, it will be Lynch's first.
In response, the Irish Superstar shared her belief Trish is scared that her time has passed and thanked the heel...for being everything she never wants to become.
It was then Lynch brought up one of the Attitude Era's most controversial moments when she pointed out that, if Stratus thought barking like a dog and crawling around on her knees was embarrassing, she should wait and see what happens to her at Night of Champions.
Lynch then barked at Stratus, leaving her furious enough to tip the table over before storming off.
We previously thought the match wouldn't take place until SummerSlam, so the fact it's been brought forward is definitely interesting. It's possible this will be the first of a few confrontations between these two, of course, but that likely depends on how Saturday's match plays out.
