When Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair swapped titles on SmackDown a few weeks ago, The Queen reportedly went into business for herself, changing the segment on the fly in an effort to protect her character and make The Man look bad. Lots of rumours and reports have since followed, including claims that Flair is no longer well-liked backstage by her fellow WWE Superstars.
Of course, the big story at the time was that Flair had reportedly been escorted out of the building by security following a verbal altercation with Lynch.
As of right now, the two women are set to clash at Survivor Series, but how much of what we're seeing and hearing is real, and how much is storyline based? We don't know, but Lynch commented on the situation for the first time during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated (via WrestlingNews.co).
"I don’t know, man. We don’t talk anymore. We don’t talk," Lynch said. "So all I’ll say is the locker room needs a hero sometimes. And sometimes somebody’s gotta be a hero. I’m all right being that hero. That’s what I’ll say on that matter."
For what it's worth, Flair appeared to respond to that by Tweeting the following and it definitely feels like all the backstage reports are now being used to build the hype for their match...
