Almost immediately after Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch made their relationship public, WWE started referring to it on TV. Now, following Sunday's Stomping Grounds PPV, the company is embracing that in a big way and inserting it into storylines, something you have to believe is a little uncomfortable for the real-life couple.
Well, Lynch chose her words carefully in a recent interview when she said, "That’s something that came about recently. I think seeing the potential to have two top stars fighting side by side as champions is something that we couldn’t really ignore, so here we are."
That's not exactly an overly enthusiastic response!
As cool as it is seeing the Universal and RAW Women's Champion team up, it's a shame it's only happening because WWE is looking to capitalise on their romance. Regardless, they'll be teaming up against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a "Winner Take All" match at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV.
