Big Cass being fired from WWE has dominated headlines this week and that's no great surprise, especially as the company failed to wish him the best with his future endeavours! That pointed to there being more to the story than meets the eye and we've since heard a number of stories about what led to Vince McMahon calling him in for a meeting on Tuesday and the firing him from WWE.
Now, Dave Meltzer has revealed more by confirming that the decision to have him lose TWICE to Daniel Bryan via submission came after he went off script during that bizarre SmackDown Live promo.
However, another issue is that Cass is a very vocal supporter of Donald Trump. While WWE employees have a right to be Democrats or Republicans, he reportedly never shied away from talking about that backstage and he once got into a heated argument with Sami Zayn about the treatment of Muslims which ruffled a lot of feathers and made him even more unpopular with the boys.
What may have been the real deciding factor, though, was WWE being unhappy with his work, specifically matches he had with The Big Show last year before he ended up on the shelf with an injury.
