Big Cass Reflects On The Moment He Realised He Was Injured On Monday Night RAW

During the early stages of a big singles push of RAW as a heel, Big Cass was injured and unable to finish his match with Enzo Amore. Now, he's reflected on just how hard that was for him to go through...

Despite the fact they were one of the most over tag teams on RAW, WWE made the decision earlier this year to split up Big Cass and Enzo Amore. The former turned heel and spent weeks decimating his old friend but things took a disappointing turn for the seven-foot Superstar when he injured his knee during a Street Fight with Enzo on RAW and was unable to finish the match as a result.

It was obviously a hard moment for Big Cass and one which has left him with a great deal of uncertainty due to there not being any sort of firm timetable on when he'll make his return to the ring.

"I knew my knee was torn, but your first instinct is always ‘I’ve got to keep going if you can possibly go.’ I’m obviously visibly hurt. I’m hobbling and I slammed Enzo into the ground, and then I went for the elbow off my left leg. I always do my elbow off my left leg and my leg just went out. It’s frustrating when your brain is telling you to do something and your body won’t let you. That’s the most frustrating thing. I knew when I landed I had torn my ACL. Just from everything I had heard and read, I knew right away."

Cass did try to finish the match but was clearly in too much pain to do so but he deserves credit for trying. This is one of those injuries which really couldn't have come at a worse time as we now have no idea whether or not his push will continue when he returns or of the ever fickle Vince McMahon may have lost faith in Big Cass. For now, we're obviously just going to have to wait and see.
