Big E won the NXT Championship before hitting the main roster as Dolph Ziggler's bodyguard and is now on fire as a member of The New Day. However, when the former USA Powerlifting Champion signed with the company, he initially debuted in FCW and had a very unique idea for what his gimmick should be. Needless to say, it's probably a good thing it didn't end up happening!
As you can see, he wanted his character to be a postal worker named "Mel Mann." WWE officials quickly shot the idea down and while it's a gimmick which would have worked in the 80s, it's definitely for the best that he debuted the way he did. Since then, he has, of course, won multiple titles and is now heading to WrestleMania in a triple threat match for the SmackDown Tag Team titles.
