Roman Reigns returned this past Sunday at SummerSlam and made a statement by taking out both "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman after their Falls Count Anywhere Universal Championship match.
The Big Dog made it clear that he wanted the title back, and he's going to get his chance this Sunday at Payback.
Last night on Raw, it was announced that Reigns, Wyatt and Strowman would compete in a No Holds Barred Triple-Threat match at the upcoming pay-per-view with the Universal Championship on the line. Reigns was originally supposed to face - and defeat - Goldberg for the title at WrestleMania, so it's hardly a surprise that he's been thrust right back into the championship picture. We didn't think he'd get host quite so soon, but here we are.
There's always a chance Wyatt retains on Sunday to set up a one-on-one feud with Roman, but it seems highly unlikely. Vince is going to want to get that belt back on the Big Dog's shoulder as soon as possible in the hope that it drives up the ratings. Reigns is still seen as a divisive figure in many ways, but there's no denying that the guy is a proven draw.
How do you guys see this triple-threat match playing out at Payback? Let us know in the comments.
