RAW opened with Bobby Lashley and MVP talking up the former WWE Champion's big wins over Big E, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins during last week's episode. After a verbal altercation with the current WWE Champion, Owens and Rollins hit the ring, leading to Big E and Lashley teaming up to fend them off. With that, a tag team match was confirmed for later in the evening.

Lashley ultimately scored the win by pinning Owens, though there was some miscommunication between him and Big E throughout the match.

After the bell rang, the heels gained the upper hand and completely decimated Lashley by powerbombing him into the ring apron and hitting him with a Curb Stomp into the ring steps. They shared a hug as the show went off the air, and it was clear throughout the night that WWE is moving forward with a babyface turn for Lashely. There have been hints for weeks this might be in the works, but it's clear now that this is the direction the company is moving in with the All Mighty.
