Following the events of this Monday's RAW, Bobby Lashley is now officially set to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the upcoming Backlash PPV. It has the makings of an exciting match, but most fans remain determined to see Lashley take on Brock Lesnar.
That's a bout he's expressed interest in on multiple occasions, but during a recent interview with talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy, Lashley explained that he believes the dream match will happen (while noting that facing McIntyre is something fans should be just as excited about).
"I do believe eventually it will happen before Brock and I are senior citizens," he joked. "The one thing that people – and I don’t want to switch gears here – but Drew McIntyre is a Brock Lesnar. He definitely is. I think that a matchup with Drew is just as exciting as Brock, to me, if done right."
Lashley added that while he's currently focused on beating McIntyre, The Beast remains in the back of his head. "I think both of those matches are great matches. I think eventually the dots will be connected and I think right now with the right people in the right places, I think a lot of really big things could be happening."
Are you guys still holding out hope for a Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar match?
