Last night's RAW kicked off with a tag team match pitting Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman against T-Bar and Mace (they've ditched the masks, but started wearing goofy-looking face paint instead). There was quite a bit of miscommunication between the babyfaces, and it was the former Retribution members who ultimately picked up the win via count-out.
An argument between Strowman and McIntyre followed, and that led to the Monster Among Men hitting the Scottish Psychopath with one of his patented powerslams.
Later that night, a match was booked that saw the two men face off in singles action; however, if Strowman won, then he'd earn a spot in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash. It was a hard-hitting intense match, and despite attempted interference from MVP, Lashley, T-Bar, and Mace, the bout continued.
However, it was the latter two's involvement that opened the door to Strowman hitting another powerslam, this time for the 1-2-3.
With that, the stage is set for Lashey vs. McIntyre vs. Strowman for the WWE title at the upcoming PPV.
