It looks like Braun Strowman vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt with the Universal Championship on the line is now official for SummerSlam, but that may not be the biggest story to emerge from this week's episode of SmackDown.
Wyatt told The Monster Among Men during a Firefly Fun House episode that if he didn't give him what he wanted (a match for the title at SummerSlam, presumably), "she" would suffer. Later in the night, The Fiend made his way to the ring for another creepy confrontation with Alexa Bliss.
This time, though, The Goddess prevented him from locking on the Mandible Claw before gently stroking his mask. The Fiend then stood up in frustration as Strowman appeared on the screen. Braun said he "didn't give a damn" about Bliss, and told Wyatt he emerged from that swamp "the most evil son of a bitch this earth has ever laid eyes on."
Is Strowman a heel now? Does that make Wyatt a face by default? Has Alexa Bliss joined forces with her attacker? There's a lot of potential here, but you'll have to forgive us for not being terribly optimistic about the end result.
