Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman came face-to-face last night on SmackDown ahead of their Universal Championship match tomorrow at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, and even though no hands were thrown, we did get an intriguing insight into how this match might go.
The story of this feud (well, this angle) is Bray trying to get into Braun's head by taking credit for "creating" him and attempting to convince him to "come home." During this segment, Wyatt handed his protege his old black sheep mask, and The Monster Among Men actually appeared to be tempted for a moment before telling Wyatt he already was home and leaving the ring with a mocking wave.
Expect Wyatt/The Fiend to play on this during their bout, and reach into a similar bag of tricks to the one he utilized in his 'Mania match against John Cena. Will he regain the title? It's hard to say. Cutting Strowman's run so short would seem like an odd move under normal circumstances, but we know he only has the belt because Roman Reigns pulled out of the Goldberg match, so WWE might well decide to put the championship back on Wyatt.
We'll find out very soon! Be sure to keep an eye on The Ring Report for all your Money in the Bank updates.
