Bray Wyatt's new gimmick as The Fiend has definitely divided wrestling fans, though most can agree that the way WWE has booked this persona really hasn't been the best.
After all, he went from being pretty much invincible to losing to Randy Orton at WrestleMania following a single RKO. Now, it's been several months since we last saw Bray on television, and rumours continue to persist about what the plan is for him when he does finally step back between the ropes.
WWE recently released Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler, and the former caught up with Inside the Ropes to reveal that the tag team very nearly ended up being aligned with Wyatt on RAW.
"We pitch all sorts of ideas. Another crazy idea that we pitched was we, Steve and myself, we would be part of the kind of the Wyatt Family, but we would be part of as Firefly FunHouse," he explains. "We would be his pig or his rabbit and we would actually bring it to life. Not only that, but we would be like real-life pig and rabbit and we would actually wrestle people is kind of what we would say. Like, we would kind of do his dirty work."
Fans have been waiting to see the Firefly Funhouse characters brought to life in some way, so this is a really cool idea. We don't know how close it came to happening, of course, but giving Wyatt another "family" might be the best possible idea for him moving forward.
