Late last night, former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt shared a Tweet teasing fans over the fact his non-compete with WWE ends on Friday. He was released at the end of July, and has spent the past three months mostly keeping quiet about the time he spent in the company and what led to him being fired.
Rumours about an AEW debut have persisted, though Tony Khan recently said: "He’s a great wrestler, and I have to be honest, we haven’t talked at all,” Khan said. “I’ve known him in personal life, but in reality, we haven’t talked. But you never know."
Now, we're sure you'll have picked up on the fact that AEW Rampage takes place on Friday, but that's been taped in advance. As a result, the chances of Wyatt - who is expected to use his real name, Windham Rotunda, moving forward - appearing on that show are pretty much zero.
There have been hints Wyatt could make the leap to IMPACT Wrestling; that didn't happen at Bound For Glory, so we're not sure what the future holds in store for the former Fiend moving forward.
Hopefully, he'll at least do some interviews over the coming weeks to discuss his time in WWE (something tells us there's a lot of story to be told there) and explain his future plans in the squared circle.
