Seth Rollins was recently interviewed by WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the subject of having the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's worst match of the year was brought up. That was, of course, Rollins' match with Bray Wyatt/The Field at Hell in a Cell back in 2019.
Fans wanted Wyatt to win and weren't happy with what was essentially a DQ finish inside a structure where there are supposed to be no rules (Rollins buried The Fiend in weapons and hit him with a giant mallet). The Architect says he wanted to strangle Vince McMahon after the match, but Wyatt - who was recently released by WWE - has now teased sharing his side of the story.
In a Tweet responding to one of the stories about Rollins' comments, he said: "Wait until you hear my reaction." It's hardly surprising to think Wyatt was similarly upset, especially as this was a real step backwards for The Fiend character (WWE eventually killed the gimmick with bad booking decisions).
It's looking like Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, will have a lot to say about his time in WWE when he's finally free to talk about it. Chances are, he'll appear on something like Talk Is Jericho to spill the beans, and rumours persist that the former WWE Superstar is heading to AEW or, failing that, IMPACT.
