WWE's upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event was recently given "The Horror Show" as a subtitle, leaving little doubt that we'd be seeing some kind of cinematic match between Universal Champion Braun Strowman and his former mentor, Bray Wyatt.
Last night on SmackDown, The Monster Among Men cut easily the best promo of his career as he told a story about sitting with Wyatt in the swamp when a water moccasin (snake) repeatedly bit The Eater of Worlds in the face. When Bray simply laughed it off, Braun says he knew that he was in league with the devil himself, and he liked it.
Strowman then challenged Wyatt to a "Swamp Fight" at Extreme Rules to put an end to their feud once and for all, and the segment ended with Bray's laughter echoing around the arena as Braun joined in.
This was pretty damn good stuff, and we hope the match lives up to its potential. It is interesting that the title is not on the line, however. Perhaps Wyatt will win, prompting Strowman to look for one more match, and that's when The Fiend will reemerge and regain the championship? We'll just have to wait and see.
