Bray Wyatt Wins THE HORROR SHOW At EXTREME RULES Swamp Fight As The Fiend Reemerges

Although the title wasn't on the line, Bray Wyatt managed to defeat his old protege Braun Strowman in a Swamp Fight at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules. At least, we think that's what happened...

Bray Wyatt managed to defeat Universal Champion Braun Strowman in a Swamp Fight at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, although the finish was far from definitive.

As we reported last week, this was another cinematic-style bout, but it wasn't nearly as effective as the Boneyard Match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles at WrestleMania or Wyatt's previous Fun House match with John Cena. It did have its moments (Wyatt is always a compelling screen presence and actually debuted a new "horror host" twist on his Firefly Fun House presenter), but after a while it all became a little tedious.

There were snakes, alligators, people set on fire, and a vision of Alexa Bliss offering Braun the chance to settle down and live a normal life with her (we'd have taken it).

In the end, both men fell into the swamp, and Wyatt emerged in his Fiend persona, implying - but not explicitly confirming- that he won the match by... drowning The Monster Among Men? Like we said, it was all a little murky, but it does seem clear that The Fiend will now get a shot at Strowman with the championship on the line. Let's hope he wins it and it given a proper run this time.

What did you guys think of the Swamp Fight and Extreme Rules overall? Let us know in the comments.
