WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was recently interviewed by Stone Cold Steve Austin for an episode of The Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network. It's an episode which is definitely worth hunting down, but one moment which really stands out is what the former WWE Champion had to say about his relationship with Vince McMahon these days.
It's no secret that they only recently made amends after the Montreal Screwjob and Hart's decision to jump ship to WCW, but was the forgiveness we saw between them real or just something scripted on WWE programming?
"We have a good relationship," Hart admitted to the Texas Rattlesnake. "I’m not sure, I can’t speak for him, how it affects him, whether it’s real forgiveness. I think there is so I think, although I’ll never probably ever get over what happened to me."
"And as far as our relationship today, there’s a part of me that forgives Vince, because I love what I did for the company," he continued. "I’m so proud of my career, I’m proud of my matches. I couldn’t have wished for more when I got in the business."
So, it really does sound like they've let bygones be bygones, but their falling out remains one of the most compelling and widely talked about moments in WWE history to this very day. You can hear more from the WWE Hall of Famer by watching the clip below:
