Brian Cage Explains Why He Chose To Sign With ALL ELITE WRESTLING Instead Of WWE

Brian Cage is making quite the impact in All Elite Wrestling, and he's now elaborated on what led to him deciding head to the newly launched company instead of WWE when his time in IMPACT reached its end.

Looking at Brian Cage, he's pretty much everything Vince McMahon could want from a Superstar. Of course, the same could be said for EC3, and we all know how he ended up being treated by the WWE Chairman when he was moved from NXT to the main roster!

Of course, Cage ended up making his AEW debut at the Double or Nothing PPV, and went on to earn a shot at Jon Moxley's AEW World Heavyweight Championship. That proved to be a losing effort, unfortunately, but the former IMPACT Wrestling star is clearly being booked as a top star in the company. So, why did he choose AEW over WWE?

"There were multiple factors," Cage explained. "I think just overall, it was the cool, new thing that everybody wants to be a part of, obviously, but to be able to break through the reach I’d already done – the Ring of Honor crowd, the Impact crowd, and so on. And I felt like I needed to go to a bigger, national scene like an AEW."

"And another big thing was AEW had the most unique, cooler [potential] matches, if you will, and all of them would be first-time ever matches, whereas everywhere else would have been repeats and not as exciting. And if I were to go to WWE, I wouldn’t have as much creative control. That, artistically speaking, was a big reason why. I’m going to go to a place where I can showcase my abilities and have the most fun, intriguing matches and I had more personal desire to go to AEW than anywhere else."

It makes sense, and had Cage headed to WWE, chances are he would have struggled to make as big an impact as he has in AEW in recent months.

Do you think he made the right decision?
