Have we seen the last of Brian Kendrick?

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion revealed on social media that he’s decided to take an indefinite hiatus from the promotion due to not receiving a championship match in three years.

Kendrick originally won the belt back at Hell in a Cell in 2016; however, his reign didn’t last long, as the 40-year-old dropped the title to Rich Swann 30 days later. Since then, Kendrick’s time on 205 Live has mostly been spent putting over the stars of tomorrow, though the former Cruiserweight Champion has won some battles throughout his time on the brand.

While this strongly indicates a storyline, there’s no word on what the end game will be. Will Brian Kendrick finally get a much-deserved championship match? Or will the 205 Live star shock the wrestling community and show up on a different brand? We’ll find out soon.
