Brock Lesnar Entering The ROYAL RUMBLE Is Reportedly Being Done To Set Up His WRESTLEMANIA Opponent

During last night's episode of RAW, we learned that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will enter this year's Royal Rumble match as the first entrant. That means he won't be defending his title at the show and will instead compete for the chance to...face himself? Well, or whoever the Universal Champion is after the PPV.

Now, the WrestleVotes Twitter account has shed some light on the situation by revealing that it's also possible Lesnar will look to challenge for the NXT Championship at the Show of Shows.

"Source says WWE is doing this Lesnar in the Rumble angle as a way to set up Brock’s Mania matchup," they claim. "Which could signal its against someone from SD or NXT as Heyman mentioned a few times last night. Opens up a world of possibilities."

There's currently no word on Lesnar's WrestleMania opponent but we do know that there are no plans in place for him to square off with Cain Velasquez or Tyson Fury.
